BSTDB Allocates £275 Million for 23 Strategic Projects

Baku: The Black Sea Trade and Development Bank (BSTDB) has approved 23 strategic projects totaling £275 million since the start of the year, announced Ziya Aliyev, BSTDB Vice President, during the plenary session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Organization of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (PABSEC) in Baku.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Aliyev highlighted that countries in the region experienced a 2.8% economic growth last year. Although this growth is lower than the average for 2021-2023, it still surpasses the eurozone average. Aliyev expressed the bank's commitment to sustaining these efforts through 2025-2026.

He further mentioned that the BSTDB Board of Directors has already approved these 23 projects since early 2025, with allocated financing amounting to £275 million. The bank's expert team is currently evaluating approximately 50 projects with a total value of £1.5 billion. Supporting the economic development of member countries remains the bank's main objective.
