The Chairman of the Mejlis (Parliament) of Turkmenistan, Gulshat Mammedova, received credentials from the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Bulgaria to Turkmenistan, Nikolai Yankov.
During the conversation, the diplomat was acquainted with the priorities of Turkmen foreign and domestic policy, as well as state development projects. The ambassador was also informed about the structure and legislative activities of the Turkmen parliament.
The sides stressed the productivity of the further development of bilateral contacts in trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres. Among the priority areas, cooperation in the Turkmen oil and gas sector and in construction, where there is considerable interaction experience, was mentioned. The parties also paid attention to the expansion of inter-parliamentary relations, partnership in the scientific and educational field, culture, sports and tourism.
