According to the Uzbek edition kun.uz , regular bus routes will open between Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan. This is stated in the action plan for negotiations with foreign countries on cooperation in the field of transport and logistics.
In particular, negotiations will be held with Turkmenistan to simplify the process of obtaining multiple-entry visas for drivers of national carriers.
The implementation period is May 1, 2019.
As the Chronicle of Turkmenistan found out, the following passenger and tourist routes are currently planned:
Tashkent-Mary
Samarkand - Bayramali
Bukhara - Turkmenbashi
Nukus - Dashoguz
Nukus - Kunya-Urgench
Urgench - Dashoguz
Shavat - Dashoguz
Hazarasp - Pitnak - Gazajak
Urgench - Gazajak
At the moment it is unclear whether they will all be implemented. The Turkmen side did not inform about plans to open international bus routes.
