Cabinet of Ministers: new wells “Galkynysh”, the magazine “Youth of Arkadag” and the President’s visit to the UAE

On November 18, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a weekly meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, the state information agency  TDH reports .


Deputy Prime Minister Shahym Abdrakhmanov , who is in charge of the oil and gas industry, reported on the completion of the construction of wells at the Galkynysh gas field, which began to be built in August last year.


The start of their construction was given personally by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov . Then it was reported that now 45 wells are operating at the field and three more will be built – “characterized by particular complexity.” The contract for the performance of these works was concluded by the State Concern “Turkmengas” with the Chinese company CNPC, the project implementation period is 2.5 years, payment will be made through the supply of natural gas to China for three years.


The commissioning of gas wells in the very near future will increase natural gas production and bring new facilities for the development of the Galkynysh gas field to their design capacity , the official assured.


The harvest of cotton and sowing of wheat is still ongoing, as reported by Deputy Prime Minister Annageldi Yazmyradov , who is in charge of the agro-industrial complex . He also reported on the preparations for the meeting of the Interstate Coordinating Water Commission of the International Fund for Saving the Aral Sea.


Deputy Prime Minister Charymyrat Purchekov  , who is in charge of the construction, industrial and energy complex, presented a list of buildings that will be put into operation in 2023. The TDH does not provide this list, but writes that the head of state instructed the official, together with all the structures involved, to analyze and study it again in detail.


The official also presented the Decree on the purchase of building materials and products necessary for construction sites and various sectors of the national economy, which the president signed. He also once again ordered to increase the output of “highly demanded construction products.”


Deputy Prime Minister for Trade Batyr Atdaev reported on the preparations for the meeting of the Joint Turkmen-Austrian Commission and the business forum, which will be held on November 29-30 in Ashgabat. They will be attended by machine-building companies producing equipment for the woodworking, plastic and metalworking industries, agriculture and water management, the food industry and healthcare.


Deputy Prime Minister for Science and Education, Health and Sports Nurmukhammed Amannepesov said that on the instructions given on September 1 at the congress of the Magtymguly Youth Organization, as well as being guided by the “fatherly instructions of the Hero-Arkadag to strengthen propaganda and explanatory work” , under the Council this organization will create an electronic magazine “Arkadagly ýaşlar” (“Youth of Arkadag”).


The President instructed that the publication be “interesting and deeply meaningful” and show the research and innovative developments of the Turkmen youth.


Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov reported on preparations for the President’s official visit to the UAE, scheduled for November 21-22 .


On November 28–30, Ashgabat will host the International Festival and Conference “National song and musical art in the heritage of the peoples of the world”, on November 23–25 – the Days of Culture of Tajikistan in Turkmenistan, on November 22, the International Conference “Historical and cultural monuments of Turkmenistan: the experience of studying, conservation and restoration,” said Myahrijemal Mammedova , Deputy Prime Minister for Culture and Media .


Director General of the Agency for Transport and Communications Mammetkhan Chakiev presented the Decree “On Approval of the Procedure for Establishing Protected Zones of Railways and Other Railway Transport Objects”. Serdar Berdimuhamedov signed the document, noting that “depending on the traffic intensity of trains and vehicles, railway security zones should be equipped with various regulatory elements.”
