Cabinet of Ministers: S. Berdimuhamedov ordered to increase budget revenues and prevent food prices from rising on holidays

The results of the work of the government of Turkmenistan for ten months of this year were summed up on November 5 at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, the state information agency TDH reports .

 

Deputy Prime Minister Hojamyrat Geldimyradov , who is responsible for the economy and finance, presented a positive report to President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and spoke about the growth in production, trade, GDP, wages and other economic indicators.

 

According to Geldimyradov, a significant part of the budget in 2023 will be directed to the social sphere, and investments – to the construction of housing and new industries.

 

The President instructed the official to take measures to increase budget revenues, look for additional sources of funding for state programs and speed up the preparation of programs for the socio-economic development of the country and construction.

 

Deputy Prime Minister Shakhym Abdrakhmanov , who is in charge of the oil and gas sector, was once again instructed by the head of state to speed up the construction of TAPI and attract investment in the fuel and energy sector. In addition, the official must take the necessary measures to ensure the timely implementation of plans for the development of fuel and energy enterprises.

 

Deputy Prime Minister Charymyrat Purchekov, who is in charge of the construction, industrial and energy complexes, was instructed to build new workshops and enterprises in order to provide the construction industry with the necessary materials, as well as to actively build residential buildings, settlements, social facilities and the new capital of Akhal velayat.

 

The president ordered the vice-premier for trade, Batyr Atdaev , to provide markets and shops with various goods on holidays and not to allow price increases .

 

Deputy Prime Minister Annageldi Yazmyradov , responsible for agriculture, spoke about the ongoing cotton and wheat harvest, as well as preparations for the planting campaign and celebrations on the occasion of the Harvest Festival, which is celebrated on the second Sunday of November.

 

He was instructed by Berdimuhamedov to study the possibility of expanding the sown area to increase the cultivation of vegetables, melons, potatoes and other crops. Yazmyradov also needs to take practical steps to increase domestic agricultural production and reduce imports.

 

Deputy Prime Minister Myakhrijemal Mammedova , who is in charge of culture and the media, was instructed to monitor the preparation of as many interesting programs and publications as possible, as well as to hold a competition for the best motto and emblem of 2023 .

 

The head of the Transport and Communications Agency, Mammetkhan Chakiev , announced the preparations for the holding of the conference “Türkmentel-2022” dedicated to telecommunications in Ashgabat on November 10-11. During the event, Turkmenistan intends to attract foreign investment, information and space technologies to the country.
