Criminal case against a crime boss Kamchybek Asanbek (Kamchy Kolbaev) was terminated. Own sources in law enforcement agencies informed 24.kg news agency.

The criminal prosecution of the crime boss was terminated due to the expiration of the statute of limitations.

«The crime boss Kamchybek Asanbek was suspected of creating a transnational criminal organization in Kazakhstan. Since the crime was committed in 2007-2009, the statute of limitations for bringing him to criminal responsibility has expired. In this regard, the State Committee for National Security stopped investigation of the criminal case,» the sources said.

Kamchy Kolbaev was detained on October 21, 2020. He was handed a notice of suspicion under the article «Creation of a criminal organization or participation in it» of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic. By the decision of the Bishkek City Court, the crime boss was released on his own recognizance. The State Committee for National Security explained that preventive measure for Kolbaev was changed due to the fact that the suspect’s relatives transferred 49.6 million soms to a deposit account.
