Caspian Agro Exhibition Celebrates Global Food Security Efforts

Baku: The opening ceremony of the 18th Azerbaijan International Agriculture Exhibition 'Caspian Agro' and the 30th Anniversary Azerbaijan International Food Industry Exhibition 'InterFood Azerbaijan' highlighted the ongoing contributions to global food security and agriculture. Muhammad Nasar, Representative of the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) in Azerbaijan, emphasized that the event is not only a celebration for Azerbaijan but also for the people and partnerships dedicated to advancing food security and agricultural development both regionally and globally.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Nasar remarked on the expanding partnership between FAO and the Azerbaijani government, which continues to play a significant role in the development of the country's agriculture sector. He noted that just a few months ago, Baku hosted COP29, an event that gathered world leaders to tackle global challenges such as climate change. Nasar stated that the current exhibition seeks to maintain the momentum from COP29 by focusing on sustainable food systems, improved water resource management, and climate-resilient agriculture.
