Following the summit of the leaders of Central Asia and China in Xian, a media forum is now being held in Beijing, in which media leaders from Bishkek, Astana, Tashkent, Ashgabat and Dushanbe take part. Representatives of the journalistic community build communications and interaction mechanisms. The event was initiated by the Chinese Xinhua News Agency, and the Central Asian countries were represented by the Kyrgyz National Kabar News Agency, Teleradiocomplex of the President of Kazakhstan NJSC, MEDIA TURKMEN, National news agencies of Uzbekistan and Tajikistan. Xinhua News Agency President Fu Hua stressed that relations between China and the Central Asian states are entering a new era. And now cooperation in the field of media should serve to form a fair image of the countries whose leaders have begun to create a stable and confidently developing region. The role of the media and their successful interaction in the modern historical period play an important role in ensuring information security, which is becoming an important factor in sovereignty and peacefulness both in individual countries and on a regional scale. 'Thousands of rivers become wider as they flow into the sea. It's time to raise the sail when a fair wind blows. Relations between China and the states of Central Asia are entering a new era. Media cooperation between China and the Central Asian states has also opened up new opportunities,' Fu Hua said. The director of Kabar News Agency noted that the foundation for new regional development, laid at the Xi'an summit, expands the boundaries of interaction between the countries of Central Asia and China, so building interaction in the media space and bringing objective information to the public is especially important now. 'Kyrgyzstan, just like our neighbors, is becoming a fulcrum for the reviving Silk Road, which historically united our countries, enriched them culturally and was a bridge across which major trade routes between Asia and Europe passed. Now a new historical period is beginning, when we are witnessing the development of new modern transport corridors, economic rapprochement, and we are only realizing the prospects that are opening up for the Central Asian republics as part of the One Belt, One Road project. The task of the mass media is precisely to reveal the creative essence and importance of the processes that were launched by the leaders of our countries. We need to widely and easily convey to our citizens the goals and objectives of the high-level comprehensive strategic partnership established between China and the countries of Central Asia. We must tell the public in detail about the benefits that the implementation of large infrastructure projects will bring, because their implementation will begin in the very near future,' Mederbek Shermetaliev said. The forum participants also noted that interaction along the China-CA axis will not only help strengthen cooperation and economic development with the Middle Kingdom, but also helps bring the positions of the Central Asian states themselves closer to each other. And in this aspect, the role of the mass media is most relevant, and the convergence of their positions will make it possible to resist possible attempts from outside to interfere with regional interaction being established on the Eurasian continent. It goes without saying that economic interaction in the interests of the peoples of our countries is now of paramount importance. China donated USD 3.7 billion to the countries of Central Asia for the fight against poverty. At the same time, economic cooperation has been raised to an unprecedented high level. 'For Kyrgyzstan, this railway, that stretches from China through the territory of our country to Uzbekistan, will connectthe major transport systems of Asia with the European part of the continent along the shortest path. Beijing supports our country in the construction of power plants that will generate electricity based on green technologies. Both traditional hydroelectric power plants on mountain rivers and stations that can power entire cities from the sun are being built. This energy is needed for a big economic breakthrough, the opening of new plants and factories, as well as high-tech industries that will create thousands of new jobs. For Central Asia, this is the path to stability and prosperity. That is why we, as representatives of the media, patiently and intelligibly need to tell the citizens of our countries about each project being implemented to revive the Great Silk Road within the framework of the Community with a Common Destiny for Humanity concept, which was presented by the distinguished President Xi Jinping,' Mederbek Shermetaliev said. Following the results of the media forum in Beijing, representatives of the news agencies of China and Central Asia expressed their readiness to further strengthen cooperation based on the consensus of the heads of state reached in Xi'an at the China-Central Asia summit. The need to increase the level of cooperation, enrich the formats of cooperation, promote pragmatic friendly cooperation for the sake of constantly achieving new results was noted. The sides agreed to actively pursue bilateral and multilateral humanitarian and cultural exchanges, strengthen high-level contacts and mutual visits, organize professional seminars, training courses and other events to strengthen mutual understanding.
