On November 16, during a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, Deputy Prime Minister for Construction, Industry and Energy Charymyr Purchekov presented to President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov a draft resolution on the construction of a plant for the production of ceramic finishing plates and sanitary ware products in the Bakharden district of the Akhal velayat.
According to the state information agency TDH , the Deputy Prime Minister proposed entrusting the construction of the plant, including the improvement of the adjacent territory, the laying of external supply transport communications and engineering systems to the domestic company "Eziz doganlar".
The plant's capacity will be 3.3 million square meters of ceramic tiles and 120 thousand units of sanitary ware per year. The construction is planned to be completed in 2024.
President Berdimuhamedov signed the submitted document.
According to the newspaper "Business Turkmenistan" , the project customer will be the Ministry of Industry and Construction Production of Turkmenistan. Eziz doganlar EC previously built a ceramic ware factory in Lebap velayat, as well as a 20 hectare greenhouse in Akhal.
For the first time, plans to build a ceramic factory in the Bakharden district became known in February 2020.
In July, Purchekov reported “proper work has been done” for the construction of the plant.
