Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan and the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan had a telephone conversation

Prospects for the development of bilateral cooperation were discussed during a telephone conversation between the national leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty (People's Council) of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

The parties noted the high level of interaction between the two countries in the political sphere, emphasizing the closeness or coincidence of approaches on key issues of world and regional politics. Also, according to the parties, bilateral economic ties demonstrate good development dynamics, cooperation in the fuel and energy, transport and logistics and agricultural sectors is expanding.

In this regard, the active work of the Intergovernmental Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific, Technical and Cultural Cooperation was noted, within the framework of which the coordination of measures to develop bilateral partnership is carried out.

The parties also emphasized that the evidence of the strengthening of Turkmen-Uzbek good-neighborly relations was the free transfer of liquefied gas to Uzbekistan in accordance with the order of the President of Turkmenistan, as well as the arrival of ambulances produced in the neighboring country to Turkmenistan.

At the end of the telephone conversation, the parties wished each other good health, inexhaustible energy and great success in responsible state activities, and well-being and further prosperity to the peoples of Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan.
