Chinese TBEA completes overhaul of Kyrgyzstan’s Bishkek TPP units

BISHKEK: Chinese company TBEA has completed an overhaul of two units of Bishkek TPP, Trend reports via Kyrgyzstan's Cabinet of Ministers. Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Akylbek Japarov visited the TPP and inspected the work of the energy facility. Together with the mayor of the capital, Aibek Junushaliev, Minister of Energy Taalaibek Ibraev, and representatives of the relevant structures, they inspected several facilities of the thermal power plant. Japarov emphasized that the thermal power plant of Bishkek is one of the most important energy facilities in the country, providing electricity and heat to a significant part of the capital. He instructed to strengthen control over the operation of heat and power facilities, as well as ongoing repair work. To note, on the night of February 1 to 2 this year, there was an accident at the TPP, as a result of which the majority of the city's residents were left without heat for almost a day.
