CIS Ministerial Council opens in Turkmenistan

On October 10, a meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers (CMFA) of the countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States opened in Ashgabat.

The meeting began with a discussion of issues in a narrow format. The ministers will have to adopt the Program of Actions for Enhancing Partnership between the Foreign Ministries of the Member States of the Commonwealth, agree on the documents to be signed tomorrow, the TDH state news agency reported .

A day earlier, Turkmen Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov held bilateral talks with ministers from other countries. In particular, the Foreign Ministry reports that he met with his colleague from Armenia Zohrab Mnatsakanyan and Tajikistan Sirojiddin Mukhriddin .

During the meeting, a trilateral meeting of the delegations of the Foreign Ministries of Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan is also expected, reported .

It became known the day before that a Belarusian delegation led by President Alexander Lukashenko was flying to Turkmenistan to discuss the issue of the Garlyksky GOK.
