The website Hasht e Subh Daily reports . According to the source, three days ago, Turkmen border guards killed one civilian and beat another.

Khelal Balkhi, acting head of the Taliban Information and Culture Directorate in Jowzjan province, said on January 3 that Taliban forces faced a military response from Turkmen border guards as they approached the Hamab border to check the security situation.

“Taliban forces fired back in response to the attack by Turkmen border guards,” Balkhi said.

The details of the incident are not yet clear, and no casualties have been reported. However, Balkhi said the Taliban forces were not harmed in the clash.

Over the past month, Turkmenistan has become the third neighboring country to be attacked by the Taliban .

Earlier, the Taliban clashed with Iranian and Pakistani troops over border issues.

Over the past year, Turkmenistan has moved part of its armed forces closer to the Turkmen-Afghan border. The Turkmen Foreign Ministry denied this information . Radio Azatlyk reported a car accident that killed 18 Turkmen soldiers. Azatlyk assumed that this happened during the transfer of troops to the Afghan border.

The Turkmen side continues to supply food and fuel to the neighboring country.
