Code of Judicial Ethics adopted in Turkmenistan

The first conference of judges of Turkmenistan was held in Ashgabat, at which the Code of Judicial Ethics was adopted.

The event was attended by representatives of the Supreme and Arbitration, as well as the capital and regional courts of all levels.

According to the state news agency TDH , the speakers noted that the main vector of the ongoing legal reform in the country is to improve the work of the judiciary.

In this regard, the participants unanimously adopted the draft Code of Judicial Ethics. The full text of the document does not lead to the publication, only noting that "the judges assured that they would serve the country and the people with honor."

The Forum also adopted the Regulations determining the procedure for convening, holding regular and extraordinary conferences of judges, as well as taking decisions within their powers.
