Competition for students in honor of the Day of Neutrality of Turkmenistan

Students of higher educational institutions of our country are invited to participate in the Competition for writing articles in English, held on the occasion of the Day of Neutrality of Turkmenistan. The competition is organized by the International University for the Humanities and Development with the support of the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan.

 

Registration for those wishing to take part in the competition continues on the official website of the organizing university iuhd.edu.tm in the academy/competitions section until November 25. Finished author’s articles must be sent to the e-mail address iuhd.socialcontest@gmail.com before November 30 of the current year.

 

The requirements for writing articles in English are as follows: the text must be in the amount of 500-700 words, while being meaningful and relevant to the theme of the holiday. In addition, compliance with the rules of English grammar and concise writing are also criteria for evaluating author’s essays.

 

The competition is aimed at increasing interest and motivation in learning English – one of the official languages of the UN, expanding knowledge of the students of the domestic and foreign policy of the state, identifying, developing and stimulating the creative abilities and initiatives of young people, as well as expanding the interaction of higher education institutions through digital information -communication technologies.

 

As is known, the Day of Neutrality of Turkmenistan is annually widely and solemnly celebrated in the country on December 12. On this day in 1995, the UN General Assembly adopted a resolution on the permanent neutrality of our country. This year, Turkmenistan will celebrate the 27th anniversary of the international recognition of its neutral status.
