On the online consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and the Russian Federation were held. The Turkmen side was headed by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan V.Hajiyev, while the Russian side was led by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation A.Rudenko.
During the talks, the parties discussed a number of crucial issues in the framework of bilateral cooperation. Special accent was made on strengthening of collaboration aimed at the resolution of problems evolved in the result of the pandemic situation in the world.
The cooperation in the framework of international organization, in particular the UN, OSCE and others was discussed. The adherence of both sides to the search of effective multilateral mechanisms for sustenance of stability, economic growth and security in the region and in the world was reiterated.
The diplomats stressed the important role of the Intergovernmental Turkmen-Russian Commission of Economic Cooperation. The online meeting of the Co-chairs of the given Commission is planned for the coming days. The parties confirmed the intensification of cooperation of Turkmenistan with the regions of the Russian Federation, particularly in trade-economic and cultural-humanitarian spheres.
The issues pertaining to the development of legal-contractual base of cooperation between the two countries were discussed, including the fulfillment of previously attained agreements.
