The consumer union of the Akhal velayat announced a tender for the selection of suppliers and contractors for the construction of a greenhouse complex for the cultivation of vegetables and melons on 9 hectares out of 22.13 hectares in the daikhan association named after S.A. Niyazov of the Gokdepe etrap of the Ahal velayat. This was reported on August 13 by the "Business Turkmenistan" edition.

Applications are accepted until September 17 , the tender will take place on the 22nd.

At a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers on September 10, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov instructed increase the volume of agricultural production and reduce its import from other countries, fill the domestic market with goods of his own production.

On March 25, the head of state solemnly opened six greenhouses donated to the state by entrepreneurs - in the Kaakhki etrap and the Ak Bugday etrap of the Akhal velayat, in the Turkmenbashi etrap of the Balkan velayat, in the Gerogly etrap of the Dashoguz velayat, in the Chardzhevsky etrap of the Lebap velayat and in the Sakarchagai etrap of the Lebap velayat.
