The Ministry of Health and Medical Industry of Turkmenistan received 250,000 rapid tests for COVID-19 with the support of the United Nations Children’s Fund.
Rapid tests for the qualitative determination of the antigen of the SARS-CoV-2 virus allow for preliminary diagnosis. They are most informative at an early stage of the disease, when the concentration of the virus in the biomaterial is the highest.
It should also be noted that recently the United Nations Children’s Fund delivered standard childhood vaccinations to Turkmenistan from Germany – the last stage in the current year. The purchase of vaccines as part of the cooperation between Turkmenistan and UNICEF to provide critical vaccinations for children was fully funded by the Government of Turkmenistan.
