COP29 CEO: Invitation has been sent to the Armenian side regarding participation in COP29, we are ready to receive guests at all levels

An invitation has been sent to the Armenian side, Deputy Minister of Energy of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Chief Executive Officer of COP29, Elnur Soltanov said in an interview with APA. "An invitation has been sent to the Armenian side. We are ready to receive guests at all levels," Elnur Soltanov emphasized. COP29 CEO also commented on the opinion of Armenian President Vahagn Khachaturyan that Armenia is trying to sign a peace agreement with Azerbaijan before the 29th session of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29), which will be held in Baku in November. Elnur Soltanov noted that no country should exploit COP-29 to advance its own interests: "The event's location in Azerbaijan came about with the mutual support of both Azerbaijan and Armenia. It is desirable to strengthen this momentum and establish lasting peace between our countries. However, this should occur through the will of both nations, mutual agreement, and compromise."
