Deputies of the lower house of the Parliament of Turkmenistan – the Mejlis, completed the online course “Parliamentary Diplomacy”. The course was organized by the US Agency for International Development with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, as part of the program “Promoting the Improvement of Public Administration”.
Experts from the London Academy “Global Diplomatic Forum” told the Turkmen parliamentarians about the forms, functions and international institutions of parliamentary diplomacy. Particular attention was paid to the possibilities and prospects of parliamentary diplomacy, as well as the potential for inter-parliamentary cooperation at the regional and global levels.
As the representative of the US Agency for International Development Nino Nadiradze noted, the agency will continue to cooperate with the Parliament of Turkmenistan.
