Deputy Prime Minister for Agroindustrial Complex instructed to visit etraps more often, clean canals and save water

At a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan on May 6, Deputy Prime Minister Esenmyrat Orazgeldiyev , who is in charge of the agricultural sector, reported to President Serdar Berdimuhamedov on the state of affairs in the agricultural sector, the state information agency TDH reports .

The Deputy Prime Minister also presented a draft Resolution on the purchase of sugar beet seeds and chemicals for agricultural crops, which the head of state signed.

In addition, the president ordered an analysis of the irrigation of sown fields, the condition of all rivers and canals, the implementation of work to clean them up and the introduction of water-saving technologies. It should be noted that President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov gave similar instructions back in 2017-1018.

The head of state said that the Deputy Prime Minister, together with the heads of ministries and departments under his supervision, should visit etraps more often, get acquainted with the work of farmer associations in the field and with the implementation of agricultural reform programs, and also provide them with the necessary assistance.

Recall that at a working meeting on May 3, Serdar Berdimuhamedov reprimanded the heads of three regions (Ahal, Dashoguz and Mary) for poor implementation of the National Rural Program.
