Deputy Prime Minister of Turkmenistan and the President of Azerbaijan discussed energy, logistics and shipbuilding

On November 29, the Deputy Prime Minister of Turkmenistan for Trade, Batyr Atdaev , arrived in Azerbaijan and held talks with President Ilham Aliyev . This was reported by the press service of the head of Azerbaijan.

 

The parties discussed energy, logistics, trade turnover, as well as cooperation in shipbuilding and ship repair. Other details of the negotiations are not given.

 

On the same day, Batyr Atdaev met with the Minister of Economy of Azerbaijan, Mikayil Jabbarov . Jabbarov himself spoke about this on his Facebook page. He also did not disclose the details of the negotiations.

In July 2022, Mikail Jabbarov visited Turkmenistan to discuss the diversification of energy supply schemes to international markets.

 

Earlier it became known that in December the heads of Turkey and Azerbaijan will visit Turkmenistan to discuss energy cooperation between the countries. Probably, the parties intend to consider the issue of supplying Turkmen gas to Turkey through Azerbaijan, as well as Turkmenistan’s entry into the Organization of Turkic States (OTG) as a full member.

 

The same topics were discussed yesterday in Ankara by the Foreign Ministers of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov and Turkey Mevlut Cavusoglu .
