The key issues of the development of the Turkmen-Chinese cooperation were discussed by the Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to Turkmenistan Qian Naicheng.
The parties highly appreciated the current pace of development of bilateral partnership and exchanged views on the problems of expanding cooperation in the political-diplomatic, trade-economic, cultural-humanitarian spheres.
The diplomats paid special attention to strengthening inter-parliamentary cooperation, in particular, between the upper house of the Turkmen parliament and the National People's Congress, and also touched upon international and regional topics of mutual interest. The relevance of continuing joint work in such areas as transport, energy and agriculture was also noted.
