Director of Seydi oil refinery, former presidential candidate fired

On February 22, Azat Khydyrov was appointed director of the Seydi oil refinery of the Turkmenbashi complex of oil refineries (TKNPZ), the state information agency TDH reports .

Since 2014, the duties of the director of the enterprise have been performed by Ramazan Durdiyev . In 2017, he was one of the candidates in the presidential elections in Turkmenistan.

Four days before Durdyev left his post, Deputy Prime Minister Shahym Abdrakhmanov , who oversees the oil and gas industry, announced the development of a feasibility study for the “Conceptual Strategy for the Development of the Turkmen Oil Refinery and the Seydi Oil Refinery”. The tender for the development of the Conceptual Strategy was announced two years ago, in 2020.

Also on February 22, Kuvvat Seyidov was appointed deputy khyakim of the Chardzhev etrap of the Lebap velayat .
