The seaport of Makhachkal has resumed transshipment of oil from Turkmenistan after a two-year break, reports TASS news agency , citing Assistant Director General of the port Alik Abdulgamidov .
With the first batch of oil from Turkmenistan, the tanker Aladzha entered the oil port of the port, carrying about 6 thousand tons of Turkmen oil. On the roadstead, two more are waiting for the team - Khazar and the VF Tanker-21 ?, said Abdulgamidov.
Through Makhachkala, Turkmen oil will flow to consumers through the Black Sea port of Novorossiysk and Transneft's main pipelines.
The oil trader is engaged in the trader Vitol, who purchased thevolumes of Cheleken oil from Dragon Oil, Okarem - from Eni.
According to the director of the port of Makhachkala, Murad Khidirov , in 2019 it is planned to transship at least 1.5 million tons of Turkmen oil.
Transhipment of Turkmen oil through Dagestan ceased in 2016. According to the REX news agency , the Turkmen side was dissatisfied with the loss of oil when pumping raw materials from tankers to tanks, which reached more than 2% in each batch.
In this regard, the export of Turkmen oil was carried out through Azerbaijan.
Whether it was possible to solve this problem and whether the distillation of oil through Azerbaijan stopped is not reported.
