On December 18, the dollar exchange rate on the black market of Ashgabat rose to 19.2 manats when buying and up to 19.5 manats when selling.
A week earlier, the rate was 18.8 and 19.1 manats for buying and selling, respectively.
Since March 2022, the exchange rate on the black market has remained stable at the level of 19-20 manats per dollar.
On November 26, the rate began to decline after Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, dissatisfied with budget revenues, demanded that the manat be freely converted.
