DPRK Delegation Gain Knowledge of Activity of Turkmen Parliament and Holds Meeting at MFA

The National Parliament hosted a meeting with the delegation of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea that arrived in the Turkmen capital headed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ri Yong-ho.

The guests were briefed on the key activities of the National Parliament. It was stressed that legislative acts adopted by the Parliament are aimed at the further progress of the Turkmen state and society. Efficient work of the Parliament in the field of national legal implementation of norms of international law was also mentioned.

During the meeting the guests emphasized their country's interest in expanding the constructive partnership with Turkmenistan in various areas, and spoke in favor of strengthening inter-parliamentary ties.

Today the delegation of the Foreign Ministry of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea was received at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, where the sides discussed possibilities for intensifying the cooperation built in a mutually beneficial manner.

As part of the cultural program, the guests were introduced to expositions of major museums of the Turkmen capital, and other sights of Ashgabat.
