Eid al-Adha Holiday Commences in Azerbaijan with Four Days Off

Baku: The Eid al-Adha holiday has officially commenced in Azerbaijan, marking the start of a four-day break for the nation, APA reports. This period, known as the Feast of Sacrifice, is observed with a series of non-working days that allow citizens to partake in traditional festivities and family gatherings.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the decision to allocate these days as holidays was made by the Cabinet of Ministers. June 6 and 7 have been officially designated as Eid al-Adha holiday days. Given that June 7 coincides with a Saturday this year, June 9 has been declared a non-working day in line with the Labor Code. Since June 8 is a Sunday, the citizens will enjoy a total of four consecutive days off, spanning from June 6 to June 9.
