Emir of Qatar arrives in Kyrgyzstan

Emir of the State of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, arrived in Kyrgyzstan for a state visit for the first time. President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Zhaparov met the distinguished guest at Manas International Airport. The flags of the two countries are hung on the flagpoles, the carpet is laid out, and the guard of honor is lined up. An installation in the form of yurts has been installed at the airport, in which the interior decoration is clearly demonstrated, showing the identity of the nomadic people. Men in national clothes demonstrated elements of traditional culture with the participation of berkutchi and taiganchi. At this time, the artists of the ensemble performed Kyrgyz national dances. At the entrance to the air terminal building, the Emir of Qatar was met by riders on horseback, and the heroes also greeted. Sadyr Zhaparov and Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani watched a concert program with the participation of Kyrgyz artists, folk and folklore-ethnographic groups. The Emir of Qatar was keenly interested in the national culture, the decoration of the Kyrgyz yurt, and the characteristics of the Taigan dog breed. As part of the state visit tomorrow, June 7, the leaders of the countries will hold bilateral talks in narrow and expanded formats, discuss a wide range of issues of mutual interest, and prospects for further deepening bilateral cooperation.
