Enterprises of Turkmenistan will transfer their goods to Afghanistan as humanitarian aid

On December 10, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov signed a decree according to which the Ministry of Agriculture and Environmental Protection, the Ministry of Textile Industry, the Türkmengaz State Concern, the Seydi Oil Refinery, the TKNPZ and the TPPT are ordered to donate goods and products to Afghanistan as humanitarian aid.

The document also ordered the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to ensure the dispatch and transfer of humanitarian aid in December at a high organizational level, the TDH state news agency reported .

The order "to organize the dispatch of humanitarian aid to the people of Afghanistan in the near future" was given to Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov at a Cabinet meeting on December 3.

Turkmenistan regularly provides assistance to the neighboring country. On September 1, humanitarian aid was sent to Afghanistan , "which became the first humanitarian delivery of the Turkmen side to Afghanistan after the well-known events in the neighboring country." It included medicines, protective clothing for medical staff and medical supplies, disinfectants and drugs for the treatment of coronavirus infection.
