Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced the discovery of new oil reserves in the south-east of the country. According to him, the production capacity of the new field is estimated at 100 thousand barrels per day. "Stocks will be able to meet one tenth of our daily consumption," he added. "We have discovered oil reserves with a production capacity of 100 thousand barrels per day in the Judi and Gabare regions," the president said at the opening ceremony of the largest solar power plant in Europe (SES "Karapynar", with a capacity of 1,350 MW) in the central province of Konya. The Head of State noted that the newly discovered oil "has a high-quality structure." The President said that the oil found at a depth of 2600 meters will be extracted "with the help of 100 wells.
