Officers of the State Service on Drug Control detained members of a transnational group suspected of sale of a large batch of drugs. Press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported.
«One of the detainees is 67-year-old A.K. — former employee of the security forces. In 2009, he was detained by the security services of Uzbekistan and convicted of possession of narcotic drugs. He was released in 2017. At least 2,935 grams of hashish were confiscated from the detainee. Other members of the transnational drug trafficking group have also been identified, including a resident of Tash-Kumyr,» the statement says.
A criminal case was initiated under Article 282 «Illegal manufacture of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances and their analogues for the purpose of sale» of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic. The investigation is ongoing.
