International exhibition and conference "Celebration of Happy Spring in the Fine Arts" opened in Ashgabat as part of the celebration of International Women's Day on March 8.

Among the key topics of the exhibition are the embodiment of female images in fine arts, modern Turkmen carpets, sculptural art, national color in pottery, the principles of creating modern works of art, as well as the role of art schools.

Speakers at the conference noted that a high educational and professional level, initiative and a broad outlook have become characteristic features of Turkmen women. It was also emphasized that today they, on an equal basis with men, take an active part in the life of the state and society, work in state authorities, in sectors of the economy, are engaged in entrepreneurial activities, creative and social work.
