On the eve of the celebration of the 31st anniversary of the independence of Turkmenistan, the Ashgabat photo club “Ferula” announced the start of the III International Photo Contest “Ferula 2022”.
The next competition will be held under the patronage of the International Federation of Photographic Arts (FIAP), which operates under UNESCO, the American Photographic Society (PSA), as well as the international club IS.
Those wishing to participate must register at www.isalons.net. Photo works are accepted in four categories: “Free color photography”, “Free black and white photography”, “Wedding”, “Photojournalism”.
The last day for accepting entries is November 8, the results will be announced on the eve of Turkmenistan’s Neutrality Day. It is expected that photographers from 40 countries of the world will take part in the third international photo contest. International awards will be raffled among the participants: gold, silver and bronze medals of FIAP, PSA, IS and the Ashgabat photo club “Ferula”.
The works will be evaluated by professional photographers who are members of international organizations. This time the panel of judges included – Nino Mgebrishvili – EFIAP (Georgia), Sergey Mayorov – EFIAP (Russia), Vyacheslav Sargsyan – EFIAP (Turkmenistan).
To date, representatives from more than 22 countries of the world have already expressed their desire to participate in the International Photo Contest, which is taking place on the territory of Turkmenistan. Organizers received e-mails from England, Australia, Bulgaria, Belgium, Germany, India, Italy, Israel, USA, Ukraine, China, Russia, Czech Republic, Chile, etc.
In last year’s Ferula 2021 competition, three authors from Turkmenistan, M. Abdulaev, were awarded the IS silver medal, S. Krupskaya became the Ferula bronze medalist, and B. Shikhliev was awarded the IS Ribbon of Honor.
