The first meeting of the "Working group on energy cooperation between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Uzbekistan" has been held in Tashkent, APA-Economics reports.
Addressing the meeting, co-chair of the working group, Deputy Minister Samir Valiyev hailed the high-level of political relations between the two countries, noting that the reciprocal visits of the heads of state created a solid foundation for the successful development of cooperation in the field of energy.
Co-chairman of the working group on behalf of Uzbekistan, Deputy Minister Akmal Jumanazarov highlighted the development of Azerbaijan- Uzbekistan energy relations, close cooperation of various state institutions in this field, and hailed the current level of collaboration.
On behalf of Azerbaijan, a delegation including representatives of the Ministry of Energy, SOCAR, "Azerenergy" OJSC, Energy Regulatory Agency under the Ministry of Energy and the State Agency on Alternative and Renewable Energy Sources under the ministry attended the meeting of the working group.
