Baku: Fitch Solutions has released its forecast for Azerbaijan's oil production, projecting a 4.3% annual increase in crude oil production for 2024, despite current low oil export volumes. This information was detailed in the country report by Fitch Solutions, a subsidiary of Fitch Group, as reported by APA-Economics. According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the report highlights that the anticipated rise in production will also support an increase in export volumes. Fitch Solutions estimates that by 2025, oil exports will contribute an additional 2.5 percentage points to the country's core economic growth. The report also discusses expectations regarding government consumption, indicating a potential slowdown due to weaker oil prices. Government consumption is expected to decrease from a year-over-year rate of 4.5% in 2024 to 3.4% in 2025.
