'Azerbaijan has always been interested in the positive development of relations with Iran,' Azerbaijan`s Minister of Foreign Affairs Jeyhun Bayramov told journalists. 'Recently, there has been tension in relations between the two countries, for which there were very serious reasons. We highly appreciate the visit of Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian to our country, especially his meeting with President Ilham Aliyev. Thanks to this meeting, it became possible to openly discuss all the issues and topics that caused the tension. We see Iran's intention to take serious steps towards resolving disagreements between the two countries. In this case, the Azerbaijani side will also take adequate steps,' Jeyhun Bayramov said. The FM also noted that there are many economic projects between the two countries.
