At a cabinet meeting on October 28, Deputy Prime Minister Shakhym Abdrakhmanov , who is in charge of the oil and gas industry, reported on preparations for the winter season and ensuring uninterrupted supply of natural gas to domestic consumers, the state information agency TDH reported .
According to Abdrakhmanov, technical inspection was carried out at specialized facilities, reconstruction and major repairs were carried out. Turkmenistan continues to install gas meters in new farms and residential complexes, and measures are being taken "to strictly adhere to the rules and safety standards for consumers of natural gas."
President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov ordered the uninterrupted supply of gas to residential buildings, schools, kindergartens, hospitals, as well as enterprises and organizations with the onset of cold weather. In addition, it is instructed to maintain the relevant engineering systems in good condition and maintain them regularly.
The head of state also instructed to monitor the issues of rational use of "blue fuel" and the correct operation of gas and heating equipment by the population.
At a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers last week, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov also instructed to save electricity consumption by domestic consumers.
Two weeks ago, the correspondents of the Chronicle of Turkmenistan reported that in the villages of the Lebap velayat, electricity and gas were cut off in the daytime for more than ten days, and the energy supervision workers and the gas supply service inspector, accompanied by district police officers and a representative of the archinlik (local administration), went around the houses of residents with checks gas meters.
Residents were warned that if there is a greenhouse on the site, then a dedicated pipe with an individual gas meter must be laid to it and a separate contract must be drawn up.
