Following the US and Uzbek Turkmenistan, intends to purchase Japanese agricultural equipment

Turkmenistan intends to purchase agricultural equipment produced in Japan. This information was sounded on January 21 at the Foreign Ministry of Turkmenistan, where a meeting was held with the Japanese delegation, headed by Vice President of ITOCHU Corporation and Co-Chair of the Japan-Turkmenistan Economic Cooperation Committee Yoichi Kobayashi .

According to the country's foreign policy department, issues of joint projects for the supply of agricultural equipment produced by Komatsu, as well as joint investments with the participation of the Japanese Bank for International Cooperation JBIC , were considered. At the end of the negotiations, the relevant Protocol was signed.

In December 2018, it became known that Uzbekistan would send a batch of agricultural equipment to Turkmenistan for more than $ 17 million. In 2017, the Turkmen side purchased 500 cotton harvesting machines from neighbors.

In addition to Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan buys agricultural equipment from the American company John Deere.
