Following the working visit of the delegation of Turkmenistan to Japan, a package of bilateral documents was signed

The delegation of Turkmenistan, led by the chairman of the Turkmen-Japanese inter-parliamentary friendship group from the Turkmen side, deputy khyakim (head of administration) of the Ahal velayat (region) Serdar Berdimuhamedov, visited Japan on a working visit, during which a package of bilateral documents was signed.

Following a series of Turkmen-Japanese meetings and negotiations, a protocol was signed on the development of the Galkynysh (Revival) gas field, a memorandum of understanding between Sumitomo and the state concern Turkmengaz, an addition to the framework agreement for the construction of a phosphorus fertilizer production facility, meetings with the Association of Travel Agencies of Japan to further strengthen cooperation in the field of tourism and transport, and others.

Also, the Turkmen delegation, at a meeting with the mayor of the Japanese city of Tendo, proposed establishing twin-town relations between Tendo and one of the Turkmen cities. The mayor of Tendo supported this proposal and spoke in favor of its elaboration at the level of specialists.
