Baku: The Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) has revised its forecast for the average daily production of oil and other liquid hydrocarbons in countries not part of the OPEC+ agreement. This initiative, which includes both OPEC and non-OPEC countries, aims at reducing oil production. The updated forecast now predicts an average daily output of 54.28 million barrels in 2025, slightly up from the previous estimate of 54.23 million barrels, and 1.11 million barrels more than the anticipated level for 2024.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, OPEC's latest monthly report also projects that in 2026, the average daily production in non-OPEC+ countries will reach 55.38 million barrels. This represents an increase of 1.1 million barrels compared to the 2025 forecast.
The report highlights that last year, non-OPEC+ countries recorded an average daily production of 53.17 million barrels, which was revised from an earlier estimate of 53.12 million barrels. This figure marked an increase of 1.33 million barrels over the production level expected for 2023. In 2023, these countries' average daily production stood at 51.84 million barrels.
It is noteworthy that the OPEC+ agreement, which includes countries like Azerbaijan, continues to play a significant role in regulating oil production globally.
