From November 7, 2022, truck drivers are allowed to transport goods through the territory of Turkmenistan, the Arzuw news news website reports with reference to the Turkmenavtoulaglary (Turkmenavtotransport) agency.
To enter the country, drivers must present a negative PCR test for COVID-19 received no later than 72 hours before crossing the border, OR a certificate of vaccination against coronavirus.
Previously, foreign truckers had to leave trailers with cargo at the border of Turkmenistan. Then Turkmen drivers transported them across the country.
It is clarified that you can pass through the following border crossings:
– International seaport of Turkmenbashi;
– “Artyk” (border with Iran);
– “Sarakhs” (border with Iran);
– “Karabogaz” (border with Kazakhstan);
– “Altyn Asyr” (border with Iran);
– “Dashoguz” (border with Uzbekistan);
– “Koneurgench” (border with Uzbekistan);
– “Farap” (border with Uzbekistan);
– “Imamnazar” (border with Afghanistan);
– “Serhetabat” (border with Afghanistan).
