France has attempted to sabotage the annual conference of the International Association of Prosecutors held in Baku from September 29 to October at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs level, according to information obtained by APA. Although the participation of around 10 representatives from France was planned, the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a written warning to them, claiming that they might face the threat of arrest in Baku if they traveled to Azerbaijan. Citing this claim, the French MFA advised them not to visit Azerbaijan. As a result, only three representatives from France attended the event - Deputy Prosecutor General of France Gilles Charbonnier, Secretary of the Francophonie Association Ivanni Boular, and President of the I Siracusa International Institute for Criminal Justice and Human Rights Gianfranco Toni and they were satisfied with their visit too. It was also revealed that the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs had recommended that representatives from French-speaking countries registered for the conference refrain from traveling to Azerbaijan.
