Baku: Starting from July 1, the funeral allowance in Azerbaijan will be AZN 600, APA reports. This change is part of a broader initiative by the Azerbaijani government to revise social welfare benefits and financial aid.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the adjustment in the funeral allowance is outlined in a decree issued by President Ilham Aliyev. The decree, titled "Increasing the amounts of social allowances, presidential scholarships of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and scholarships for honorary titles, and making amendments to some decrees and orders of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan related to this," highlights several changes aimed at increasing the financial support provided to citizens.

The decree specifies that the new funeral allowance of AZN 600 will come into effect from July 1, 2025. This measure is part of the government's ongoing efforts to enhance social protection for its citizens, reflecting a commitment to supporting families during challenging times.
