On the eve of Independence Day (September 27), a new book by Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty Milli Gengesh Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov “Electric Power of Turkmenistan”, dedicated to the production and export of electricity, was published in Turkmenistan, the state information agency TDH reports .
The book contains a speech by the ex-president at a meeting on September 3 with students and teachers of the State Energy Institute of the country.
It also reports that “President Serdar Berdimuhamedov identified the development of the energy industry as one of the important directions of the country’s economic strategy in the era of the Revival of the new era of a powerful state.”
In addition, Berdimuhamedov Sr. touches on the use of alternative energy sources and the development of a “green” economy. He notes that it is planned to build a solar-wind power plant with a capacity of 10 megawatts near the Golden Lake in 2019-2025.
In conclusion, TDH emphasizes that the book is produced at a high printing level.
As previously reported , power outages regularly occur in Turkmenistan even in large cities. The outdated infrastructure does not withstand the loads during the hot summer months. Also, various weather phenomena can also cause power outages.
This is the 58th book of the ex-president. The 57th book entitled “The Meaning of My Life” was presented by his son on April 9 at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan.
