Georgia’s Security Service warns of publication of fake video and audio recordings of officials ahead of elections

The State Security Service of Georgia (SSS) has released information that groups associated with certain political circles are planning to distribute fake video and audio recordings several days before the elections, which will use the voices and video images of representatives of the Georgian government, APA's Tbilisi correspondent reports. The organization's statement noted that these materials were produced using artificial intelligence and other modern technologies. It was stated that the purpose of the fake materials was to create discord between the branches of the Georgian government and to spoil the government's relations with the church, as well as with its Western partners. The statement noted that the ultimate goal is to create instability in the country and use it for political purposes. Source: Azeri-Press News Agency
