Foreign Affairs Minister of Kyrgyzstan Jeenbek Kulubaev met with the Executive Director of the Committee on Eastern European Economic Relations of Germany Michael Harms. Press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported.
The parties stated that active economic interaction between Kyrgyzstan and Germany has been established recently, the consequence of which is a significant increase in trade turnover between the countries, as well as investments from Germany in the Kyrgyz Republic.
They discussed the results of the visit of the economic delegation of the two countries, which took place on June 22-23 in the framework of the visit of the President of Germany, and also outlined plans to hold economic events in 2023, including with the participation of the leadership of Kyrgyzstan.
Jeenbek Kulubaev proposed to the head of the German Committee to intensify interaction between business circles of the two countries in textile and mining industries, hydropower, tourism and introduction of new German technologies in various sectors of the economy.
The Committee on Eastern European Economic Relations is a major economic association of Germany, which represents the interests of more than 350 companies of medium and large businesses in Germany and cooperates with 29 countries of the world, including the CIS and Central Asia.
