According to the TASS news agency , Putin was met at the airport by Turkmen Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov. The President of Russia went to the summit site in a black Aurus, on which the Russian flag was installed.

The RBC publication reports that in honor of the anniversary, Putin presented Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov with two sabers, a chess set and a sculpture of a horse and rider.

According to the press secretary of the head of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov , the chess was made by Zlatoust masters, the sculpture “The Returning Rider” was made by the great-grandson of the famous St. Petersburg sculptor Lansere. Speaking of sabers, Peskov clarified that one of them is old, the other is new.

The head of Kazakhstan, Tokayev , presented Berdimuhamedov Sr. with the highest state award of the Republic of Kazakhstan - the Order "Altyn Kyran" "for a significant contribution to strengthening Kazakh-Turkmen relations."
