New York: The global stock markets witnessed notable upward trends as major indices in both the United States and Europe recorded significant gains. On April 23, the U.S. stock markets saw the Dow Jones index increase by 1.07%, closing at 39,606.57 points. Additionally, the S and P 500 index rose by 1.67% to reach 5,375.86 points, while the Nasdaq index experienced a notable growth of 2.50%, closing at 16,708.05 points.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, European stock markets also showed positive movements on the same day. The FTSE 100 index increased by 0.90%, reaching 8,403.18 points. France's CAC-40 index rose by 2.13%, closing at 7,326.47 points, and Germany's DAX index saw a significant rise of 3.14%, ending the day at 21,961.97 points.
In addition to the stock market gains, there was a rise in the euro-to-dollar exchange rate, which increased by 0.22% to reach 1.1341 USD, reflecting a positive sentiment in the global financial markets.
