Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Sergey Prihodko discuss the prospects of Turkmen – Russian dialog

President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov received Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation - Head of the Government Executive Office of the Russian Federation Sergey Prihodko.

Having expressed the gratitude for the time spared for the meeting, the guest conveyed warm greetings on behalf of President of Russian Federation Vladimir Putin and Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev who addressed the wishes of peace and prosperity to Turkmen leader and people. It was mentioned that Russia highly appreciates friendly relations with Turkmenistan and pays great attention to comprehensive intensification of interstate cooperation.

Addressing return greetings to the leaders of Russia, the President of Turkmenistan stated with delight traditionally friendly character of interstate dialog, which is built on the principles of constructive equal partnership.

During the meeting, the Head of the State and Russian Vice Premier discussed priority issues of bilateral cooperation including in political, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres.in this regard, the productivity of the activity of Intergovernmental Turkmen � Russian Commission for economic cooperation was noted.

Turkmen leader and his guest expressed the confidence that high level of understanding and rust between our states would continue serving as a solid foundation for expansion of interstate dialog.

Taking an opportunity, Russian Vice Premier wished President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and all Turkmenistan citizens great success in the coming V Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games in Ashgabat on September 17 � 27, having noted that this sports forum would consolidate the position of Turkmenistan in international arena as a peace-making country.

At the end of the meeting, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Sergey Prihodko again confirmed the commitment of both countries to the course aimed at comprehensive consolidation of traditional Turkmen - Russian relations, further consolidation of bilateral cooperation and exchanged the wishes to Turkmen and Russian people.

Alexander Blokhin, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to Turkmenistan also took part in the meeting.
